Math

Young children are born learning and are eager to understand the world around them. Helen Doron MathRider’s innovative and unique approach to teaching math is all about hands-on learning and turning real-life experiences into understanding math. Learning is fun, interactive, and effortless, bringing movement, music, puzzles and activities into the classroom. MathRiders allows children to develop their natural mathematical thinking, confidence and leadership skills. Through a carefully designed curriculum, children are given an opportunity to enhance their natural curiosity and creativity, and through that, accelerate knowledge.

MathRiders teaches children to think about math holistically and build a solid math foundation for life. Our unique methodology uses cross-body movements to build connections between the two brain hemispheres and uses songs to strengthen mental arithmetic abilities, analyzation skills and inventive thinking which has been proven to help solve mathematical problems. All this helps them gain a love for and an understanding of math

Math is everywhere and children are naturally gifted with the creativity and understanding of its true nature. Research has shown that from the earliest stages, babies think about objects, events and people in surprisingly mathematical ways. Essential math skills are practiced regularly through children’s intuitive play: stacking blocks, sorting toys, beading and comparing quantities are only a small part of it. Our MathRiders Starter harnesses this creative energy, enabling them to explore and understand number sense and operations, problem-solving and data analysis. Concepts come to life with our original MathRiders FunBoards. These unique teaching tools help children learn math concepts such as sorting, patterning, perspective, symmetry and counting.

MathRiders Junior is a comprehensive system to teach math through exploration, activities and positive reinforcement. Children learn to think about mathematical concepts as part of the everyday world and are more capable of adopting creative and open thinking about math. All lessons introduce an age-appropriate range of math concepts which allows children to explore, discuss, tackle, play with and understand numbers, quantities, shapes and patterns. Children develop skills to foster mathematical thinking and problem solving; they use concrete materials to form mathematical concepts and to consolidate knowledge while building on their innate ability for mathematics.
