Social and Emotional

Social-Emotional milestones involve children’s interactions with others and how they relate to family, friends, and teachers. This influences all other areas of action, which are greatly affected by how a child feels about themselves and how they can express ideas and emotions. They contribute to a child’s self-confidence and empathy, their ability to develop meaningful and lasting friendships and partnerships, to understand and express emotion, to interact positively with their environment and to realize their sense of importance and value to those around them.

A school is a mini society where children learn about boundaries. An understanding of the world and its rules can be challenging. During the course of the day, through positive reinforcement, our staff supports the children while they learn about themselves and their abilities. Helen Doron schools provide a reassuring environment to interact harmoniously with others, develop communication skills and build relationships.

Helen Doron school understand that a child’s social and emotional development is an integral part of the learning environment.
